Sea Lady/Golden mermaid... for sale one million dollars 9/1/05 |

2/1/04. It's time to get back to work, the metal medium has drawn me back. I have my truck to a manageable state now. I get hung up on it and can't get my mind to shift into my art mode, but the hot rod stuff is so much fun and also need to maintain this investment. Or it may be I need the time to gather my courage. I'm no Michelangelo so I need to pick something that has all the feeling of fun and the passion that turn on my juices, but be a realistic project for me. I think a "Mermaid" is what will jump my juices. Not real sure yet what she will look like, I'm still in the thought/sketch process but I hope it to be my best work. In my mind I am flying like rocket man approaching this beautiful isolated cove. Down below I see this outcropping of rock or smooth coral as I fly down closer I can make out this stunning figure not sure what I am seeing, I cruise down for a better look. Wow, its a "Sea Lady", a "Golden Mermaid". Now if I can keep her in my mind I will be making many fly by's to capture her beauty, flow and soul before I can start. I am getting closer to that time. This is going to be another year long project, at least. But I can almost feel her now. So if you check back now and then I may have something to show you. 3/5/04. I am on my way. I seem to have found enough to get started, I like it. 6/20/04. Happy fathers day. I was working on Sea Lady this morning before it got to hot and NASCAR came on so I had to stop the work and watch the race, but as I was working away I could feel the vibes coming from her, she seems to be very pleased with her self and what I am doing. can't wait to get to point that I will be working on her face. She my speak to me. But that is still some months away. It's one piece at a time. I love this stuff. Hope you are having a good time too. 1/15/05.... Haven't worked on Sea Lady for some time now but plan to start work again soon. I have put all my energy towards getting my truck restored and that has run over budget and over time. I will make the finial run at it when the weather gets a little warmer. 7/27/05...Still working on Blackfoot the truck. I hope to run it down the coast soon. 10/16/08...I have been back working on the Lady for some months now but its slow going. 2/9/09...I did get Blackfoot the truck done in 06 and did my trip in it. it's fun to drive or just look at. So that's done but seem to fine reasons not to work on the lady, what can I say..
