Exporting Sequences as Alignment

Suppose we want to interpret a FASTA file as a multiple alignment. To do this, select one or several sequence objects in the Project View window, right-click to open the context menu, and select the Export/Import‣ Export sequences as alignment option:

The Export Sequences as Alignment dialog will appear, where you can specify the location of the resulting alignment file, select a multiple alignment file format, use Genbank “SOURCE” tags as the names of sequences for Genbank sequences, and optionally add the created document to the current project:
